Bristol Aquarium!

Today we went on a trip to the Bristol Aquarium. We saw lots of different sea creatures and reptiles including blue Toxic frogs and a giant tarantula! We had lots of fun!

Book Week!

We are celebration World Book Week at Cabot. On Tuesday Reception went on a trip to Foyles Book shop and used a special book voucher to purchase their own books!!!

On Wednesday Postman Pat came for a visit! He brought his cat Jess and the children showed him around our classroom. He even had a go on our scooter!!

Snow Day!!!

Today we had our 'Snow Day'. The children came to school dressed in their woolly winter clothes ready for a fun day!

Throughout the day the children took part in a variety of creative winter activities. We made a snow globe using salt dough, snowflakes out of paper, a spiral snowmen, snow biscuits and a snowball.  

 In the afternoon we warmed ourselves up with some hot chocolate. We then went outside for a snowball fight and the year 5 children joined us. It was so much fun!

We have had another fantastic week at Cabot. The children are now half way through phase two letters and sounds and lots of them are beginning to blend cvc words independently. Here are the sounds we have learnt this week.

This week the children have learnt the sounds i, n, m and d. We have also been learning to blend cvc words. Here are some words you may like to help your child learn - sat, mat, tin, tap, pin, dad, sat, sit, nap and nip.
